Dr. Morin works as the Clinical Director for Lutheran Community Services Northwest’s (LCSNW) Multicultural Community mental health program and as a teacher at the Process Work Institute. LCSNW resettles many refugees and immigrants that have experienced trauma. Pierre is trained as a medical doctor and brings over 25 years of clinical experience in medicine, mental health, and addiction services. He has led community health projects in the US, Africa and Switzerland. He is the program manager for the African Partnership for Health, a community participatory research project aimed at sharing through a dialogue process, common issues and strategies among providers and refugees. His doctorate in Health Psychology focused on subjective perceptions of social rank as an aspect of social determinants of health. While working as a clinician, for all his professional life he has been involved in community and minority health and loves integrating psychology and medicine or mind and body in his practice. He is specifically interested in health disparities and the negative health effects of trauma. He has also some training as a group facilitator and has experience working with culturally mixed groups. Pierre is a co-president of the International Association of Process-oriented Psychology (IAPOP).
