Taking Time to Make Art to Follow the Unknown

In our December Art of You Process groups we explored many things. Being human, the struggle of finding purpose, winter season and planning for what’s next. The images were colorful and playful and full of expression.

On-the-pathOn The Path

Writings included:

Emerging Full
Thankful, hopeful, fearful. Life, human, on the path. How to connect. Looking at the image of overlapping expressions and emerging full.

Red Circles
Planning for the new year. Looking at the image of a nature scene with a path of red circles. Wandering through the winter landscape. Its the only time you see them with the leaves gone. Each step you take along the path has the same effect of traveling you along.

“In”joying
Being who I am. Who am I? Moment to moment. Drawing art angels. Don’t ask who I am. My hands in a creative soup. “In”joying. A drop of water. Play and stillness. Endings, beginnings. I cannot be fixed. It’s hard to be a process. I am.

Diverse Inner landscapes
Struggle, being nobody, having no purpose or meaning. Going through the motions. Having ailments. The image is called Diverse Inner landscapes.

Time and Care

Time-and-care

Creative Dialogue
Art friends, winter season, time and care.
Feeling grumpy. Critic cycling. Feeding a story.
Communicate and figure out puzzles.
The image says, experiment and control. Baby reminds to sleep and let it all go. Buildings communicate. Stars spinning and creating. Thanks that we can’t control everything.
Just being in a creative dialogue.

Creeping in and out
Existential slump, sea of symptoms, hurts here and here and here! Fragile on a roller coaster ride.
The image says splotches of black moods. Creeping in and out. Sad, gloomy, hopeless.
Flickers of sun. Nothing gets done. Hope that a sparkle comes.

Stripped Curtain
Art making and meaning.
The image of tapping hands on a page. What to do, what does it say? Put your hands on the window and look through. What do you see in that unknown world on the other side? It is your own reflection? Your plant like nature? A stripped curtain to keep you warm, to hide behind, to push away, as you start a new day.

By the River on a Bike
Breathe, time, patience. Attend and care.
The image is: By the river on a bike, meditation in motion. Feels right, looks funky, funny, often weird and just right!

Thanks to those who came and getting to know the big U!
Wishing creative fun for everyone.
