Pumpkin Loaf and Predictability

Today as I stopped to get my morning snack the woman at the counter said

To go?

as I said

Pumpkin loaf.  Oh, this is getting to be a habit

I like predictability,  she said.

It made me feel better.  The slice is so big I can make it last for morning and afternoon snack. It makes me think about habits and how easy you can get into them before you know it and how hard it can be to get out.

How would you draw predictability?

Well it is kind of random predictability. When I drew it a memory of my dream last night came to me where one person in the dream was behaving in what I consider a predictable behavior. In my dream my parents were telling me to get closer in the photo and couldn’t we do things better somehow. No wonder I don’t want to be predictable and follow others  expectations.

I look at my sketch and see it is either flying backwards or shooting forwards depending which way you look at it. It reminds me of the wind yesterday that was so strong it pushed you back or forced you forward depending which way you were going. It’s okay to be predictable and its also not okay. Letting yourself flow back and forward is more to the point. Feeling good about things rather than doing them because you should eases things inside. Which can ease things on the outside too.

Spend a moment to enjoy something you do predictably!
