\"\"<\/a>Today we are sitting in the PWI library and next door a celebration is happening. <\/span><\/p>\n

Our volunteer today wants to work on having sinus infections. \u00a0She has tried many treatments and knows what she is allergic to and what to avoid but still it continues.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are many aspects to sinus infections that are disturbing, the pressure, the pain, the sneezing, the sore throat, the mucus. Today she decides to work on the mucus. <\/span><\/p>\n

Amazing transformation<\/h4>\n

Using process work techniques she is supported in becoming the mucus and describes it as endless. It just keeps continuing. She gets to a point where she doesn’t know what to do with that and really doesn’t like mucus. In continuing to follow her body movements and becoming mucus, suddenly she changes and describes how amazing mucus is. It has the ability to transform itself, from liquid to solid, to be in many different places, and to be many different colors, it’s magical.<\/span><\/p>\n

Practice in everyday situations<\/h4>\n

She discovers a freedom in really becoming it and encourages everyone to become it. Then she explores a family relationship and uses the freedom to ask for more contact. Next she explores a work relationship requiring leadership. Her challenge at work is how to be nice and friendly and to be a boss and have people meet the expectations of their job. With the freedom she found in mucus she quickly and clearly states the issue, and suggests a solution all the time staying related and friendly.<\/span><\/p>\n

We briefly discuss broader issues of women and how difficult it is to be a leader. A new book is mentioned heard about on OPB radio by Robin Romm called Double Bind: Women on ambition. <\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

How surprising and amazing the creativity that comes from using the energy found in a symptom to expand our identities and make changes in our experience. <\/span><\/p>\n
