One Day Workshop – April 2016

Portland-Hawthorne-BridgeDreambody Medicine Dojo

One Day Training in Unfolding the Meaning of Physical Symptoms

Instructors: Kara Wilde M.A, Pierre Morin, Ph.D., and Emetchi M.A.

We invite you to come participate in a day’s training focused on ways of befriending and unfolding the meaning embedded in our physical symptoms.  This day is suitable for people who want to experience the transformative quality of Dreambody Medicine and who want to learn how to use body symptom experiences to enrich their lives. It will also be beneficial for those people who want to help others understand the deeper message inside symptoms using Process Work methodology and philosophy.

Culture teaches us to regard symptoms as something we have to get rid of quickly and ”get healthy” again, then go on with life same as before. However recovery from illness or symptom troubles is not sustainable if we don’t integrate the meaning of these experiences whether they be acute or chronic. This training will show people how to get past everyday “solutions” on the surface, how to go inside the symptom experience to discover their own unique ways of self healing, and then how to thread that new information back into everyday life, which is often experienced as being transformative.

Over the day expect discussion and theory; time for consultation about symptom cases; practical exercises to discover meaning in symptom experiences and how they are connected to individual, social and historical issues; innerwork; open seat work.
